↵ NEWSLocal Alumni Business Spotlight ~ Forest City Tree ProtectionOriginal Release: 7/1/2024 In 1902, William P. Lanphear started trimming and caring for trees in Cleveland. His work took him to many areas on the eastside of Cleveland. By 1910, he had founded the Forest City Tree Company and moved his headquarters to South Euclid, Ohio in 1918. His sons, John and William III, and eventually his grandsons, grew up in the family business. In 1979, Brush graduate Lauren Lanphear ('74) became in-volved in the business and remains involved today. The tree service also operates The Lanphear Supply Division to provide tree care and landscape supplies to the tree industry. In 1979, the Chim, Chim Cheree Professional Chimney Sweeps was added to the company. Forest City Tree Protection service has provided the Cleveland community with quality tree care and ser-vices for three generations. They have an established a reputation for excellent, reliable work. The Forest City Tree Protection employees work throughout the Cleveland area. They prune and remove trees, for tree health and safety, install cabling and bracing to prevent potential damage, and offer tree health care programs to preserve trees. The Lanphear family has a proud Arc history, Lauren '74, his wife Susan (Stone) '74, his two children, Will '99 and Clare '03, are all proud Brush grads, as are his siblings, Bill '65, Mary Clare '67 & Warren '73 and their father, William P.
