By Bonnie Slabaugh Abbey
With the passing of our friend in July, a group of classmates reunited to remember the life of our friend Leslie. Leslie was a friend to all and would always be there when you needed her: she had a heart of gold! We began at Tasty's Pizza, a long-time hangout from our time at Brush, and then we headed to Brush and the Alumni Paver Walkway. We had purchased a paver for our friend and loved looking at the various pavers created by many others. Deb DiLillo Betz provided a tour of Brush, which included the Arc Workout Facility staffed by Cory Morrow. We then visited the Alumni Museum and reminisced about our time at Brush. Afterwards, we traveled to each of our childhood homes, rekindling memories, and ended up at the home of one of the classmates.
Honoring Leslie were: Cathy Caruso Pinter, Corey Caruso Peoples, Claudia Beuack Cull, Paige Larkin, Maureen Hughes Fitzpatrick, Liz Bernstein Roman, and Bonnie Slabaugh Abbey.
